Help me double check my Eng. swap to do list, Pls

Hi people,

I'm going to plug my '84 GTI's engine (longblock) into my '81 Scirocco some
time over the next week or two. I've been absorbing tips & tricks over the
last year but now events can't wait for that Audi bottom end. So, here is a
quick and dirty list of things to do when the engine is out, It's kinda off
the top of my head, Pls add any omissions;

1. Replace the tranny seals, refill with Redline.

2. Pull the pan and clean out the sludge.

3. Replace water pump as needed, Oil pump almost automatically.

4. Replace Eng. mounts, all.

I'd just as soon not crack the head to block seal unless there is some
compelling reason. Any?

Suspension is tolerable for the moment, any must dos?

Phase One is prep the 'Roc and make the space ready, recondition the long
ratio tranny w/ new seals and synth fluid, clean and slap some preventative
stuff on any rusty spots, clean up a few wiring booboos.

Phase Two is, over the course of a single weekend (right?), yank the GTI 1.8
and drop it into the Scirocco. I have an A-Frame & second and third pair of
hands as necessary, Is this a probable timeframe? Can I reasonably pull and
reinstall a long block into an empty engine bay in two days? (of course I
can.)
