Then your starter motor is dead.

Never fear, you might just need to have new brushed installed if your
stator is in good shape. 
Aw hell, why not just goto the local parts store and pick up one of those
lifetime warranty starter motors and be done with it? I think thats the
best deal going right now and you wont have to mess with your old one.
