Painting 8v style bumpers?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone on the list has
and 8v and painted they're bumpers to correspond
with the same color of their car, and make
it look 16v style (Not gritty, smooth)

Is this as simple as one might think it is,
or is it easier to have it done professionally
and make it look sweet?
