Re: The roc's burning gas too fast...



I've never seen 30mpg in my 87 Cabriolet with the automatic tranny or the
new (used) close-ratio tranny.  I have the original window sticker and if
memory serves me correctly 25mpg was the optimum, should I be getting much
better mileage with the close-ratio? Oxygen sensor was just replaced about
1,000 miles ago. With the new transmission the mileage is slightly better
but still not 30mpg.  Is the Cabriolet a lot heavier than the Scirocco? I
think mine is about 2200-2300lbs. Or are there other factors?
