Nothing wrong with this anyway...here's my take:

Let me count the number of non-fuelpump relays that have failed me with
like 10 different VW's I've owned in 12 years...ummmmm...none.  Ok, ok, let's
assume that the one relay driving my low beams fails me...in about 1/2 a
second I'll be on high beams and 30 seconds later I'll be off the road
replacing the relay or the fuse.  If everyone is so concerned with safety,
I assume that you're all carrying extra relays and fuses, right? :-) Oh,
I'm only using factory bosch 40amp relays and sockets, so if you're using
off brand $3 relays, you're on your own and forget I said anything.
