Doing it that way seems to work well enough. When I bought my dual outlet
downpipe from Techtonics, thats how they set up the O2 sensor flange. Put
it near the top of the downpipe. The further upstream the sensor is in the
exhaust, the quicker it warms up and becomes usable.
