Re: CV JOINT

I replaced all four CV joints on my '86 8v last year, and was surprised at
how easy it was! You really do need the correct tools, though, otherwise it
can get ugly.
I purchased brand new Lobro joints and installed them on my existing axles;
I was thinking this step would virtually guarantee another 100K miles on
them (rather than replacing them one at a time).
It should be reminded that extra care in getting the details right (mounting
the boots perfectly, torquing everything to spec) will save lots of
heartbreak later...
Not a tough job, though, if you can get ahold of the star-driver tool and a
big BIG torque wrench (for the axle nuts), and a Bentley manual.

Tally-Ho,
Dave
