Sorry to say but that clicking sound you are describing sounds like Clipping.
Not good. Stop turning it that high, it means the amp ( in your radio in this
case ) is being asked to flow more elctricity than it can handle.

Off loading the power handling to an outboard amp(s) will be required if you
are going to add any more speakers to the mix.
