Which location of the Vin# did you look at???  The dash could have been
changed.    "Tarantula" wheels won't fit on the front of a 16V because of the
bigger rotors but, of course, those could have been changed as well.  A 16V
also has rear disks in the back.....did it?  I'd suggest that you look at the
other vin #'s and see if they match.  As to whether you should buy it or
not.....I'd have to see, hear, feel, and probably taste it before I gave you
my opinion.   It sounds kinda sketchy to me but what do I know.  Good Luck!
