I've not bought an exhaust yet to do this but this is my plan, i can't
afford a stainless system. My Dad has an HKS exhaust on his car that he
coated. Since they coat the tubes both inside and out, it should help with
extending the life of the pipes, and keeping heat in the pipes instead of
in the engine bay, this is if you coat your whole system. I remember the
guy from EM sports had some good info on ceramic coatings. Maybe he can
chime in if he's listening, about a stainless exhaust vs a ceramic coated
 aluminized system.

Ceramic Coating yes has some incredible benefits. Better yet is Thermal
coating which is available in colors. a new color just developed is a gold
tint but other colors are available Green, blue, red, black (the best color)
these are just tinted not actual brilliant colors. I can go in to incredible
detail on this subject but will spare you unless asked. All i can say is
Ceramic and Thermal coating is done on Built Motors and exhaust that we do
for racers and 90 percent of each motor is done from Block to valves. in my
OPINION a ceramic coated cat back aluminized Vs stainless Hands down i would
use Ceramic . The ceramic coating we use actually is called CermaChrome Used
for Nasa projects, Nasa as in space not nasa Racing although there are several
Nasa cars with this product on as well.

Will post a small article on web page soon about benefits.
