I do all my own work, the only time i ever let my buddy work on it is if
the work involves a press (eg, i had them do my front wheel bearings last
month) or if the work is urgent and i don't have time (like i'm working and
have a race coming up but don't have time to do the rear bearings and a
brake pad switch)

I only trust myself 100%  At least if i do screw up, i know exactly what i
did, and can find out where i miffed.
