If you were nearby I'd say check out my key collection... I almost always have
one that fits any VW... of that vintage, anyway. I bought a junker from a
junkyard once that came with no key and I just happened to have the key to it.
I guess VW didn't make that many keys or something...
Maybe the dealer can provide you with the key if you give them the VIN and
proof of ownership? I dunno...
