Crappy Story (Scirocco Security)

I hate Thieves!

I got home on Thursday night at about 12:00 and while I was tottering around in
the garage for a while, I noticed 3-4 people zooming down our hill on 'boards.
They went up and down about 3 times while I was there, but eventually I had to
crash for work the next day.
The next morning, I woke up and went down to my Schwart Rakete, and noticed
that the back window had kind of been smashed to smithereens. I looked
carefully at the CaRnAgE and noticed that the rear deck lid was popped out of
it's hinge, and crooked. Hmm. Upon inspection of my entire car, my CD deck,
SubWoofers, and Rockford Fosgate Amp were amazingly all still there. I was
more than a little miffed, but happy that nothing was stolen.
The retards apparently thought the deck lid was the only way into the back of
the car. Perhaps they didn't notice the HUGE knob that lowers the seat-half so
that a FAT person could get into the trunk. If they had, they would have
needed tools to remove the amp, and the jaws of life to get the sub box through
the window. They even could have unlocked the door and ransacked me for all my
CD's and happy face air freshener (the one that adds 0.003 hp) :)
I guess since the car was parked in the driveway on a fairly busy res. street,
something spooked the goons, and they were off, empty handed -- having mangled
my car in the process. They must have been younger, because I would (if all my
scruples suddenly vanished) break into a car that was down a dark alley, or
side street, not a major residential thoroughfare.

To make a long story even longer, my dad surprised me with a new window THAT
SAME DAY! All I had to do was wash it, take out all of the knuddy bits of
glass from the moulding and car (there's still the odd knud lying around) and
wrestle the new glass in. The new window was only 40$ CDN, from The Parts
Ranch.

So if you ever have to replace a rear window, perhaps the easiest way to do it
is to slide in the rear corner of the glass (with rubber stripping around it)
and work around from one side all the way to the other, pulling in about 1"
at a time with your bare hands. Once you get the inner lip in, you'll have to
push the glass in from the outside to fit it properly.

Hmm, if it's that easy to put in, I wonder if it's that easy to take out! >:]
Nyarharharhar.

ps, no skaters were harmed in the development of this story, nor do I imply
that they were the actual goons. I am just a little paranoid now, trying to
remember faces I saw go by.

pps. da goon(s) might have been attracted by the big happy Rockford Fosgate
sticker under the rear wing of my car. I'm thinking of removing this "Steal
Me" logo so that no one has any idea what's inside anymore. This would be
cheaper than an alarm, but alas, not as effective.

So that's my story, thank you.
