Polishing Manifold

This may seem a bit of a elelmentary question but....how would one
polish the outside of the intake manifold runners on a 16V? I have
numerous pictures of it done, in fact i have a picture i beliave of a
certain Ryan's 16V with just the first runner polished. What are the
steps involved with this, and or tools? Thank you for your time.
