problems with my gal's passat

has anyone any experience with the 91' passat????  my gal bought a passat
recently and she is having tons of problems with it.....  she had to get
the tranny rebuilt.....  but still the car pulls when she accellerates???
it is the sort of feeling you get when you start off at 3rd gear....  the
car hesitates and pulls until it reaches 40...  it returns when it hits
60.......  another symptom is that the steering wheel rattles....  BIG
TIME......   whenit is in park it rattles noticebly....  but when it is
shifted to D.......  all hell breaks loose....  i forgot to mention that
it is a Automatic :)
