I had a slightly simliar problem but i dont think it was as extreme.
Mine turned out to sparkplug boots being totally shot on one cylinder
therefore allowing arcing, and the valve cover gasket was shot filling
the sparkplug well with oil. I would check that and maybe the rotor.HTH
