Acutally there was hardly any vibration and turning did little to effcot
the pitch. I had both (all four, left and right side) repalced 30,000
ago so i figured it couldnt be the bearing. There was also no play in
the wheel. But the strut bushing was bad so i replaced both struts and
bushings and mounting plates. Still noisy so i checked the bearing and
sure enough it was all pitted (the outside race), funny but only on one
half. But what you described is typical of bad wheel bearings.
Given any thought to a midwest\Iowa watercooled club? Anyone give some
feedback?
