Changing the oil pump is like changing the clutch. What I mean is that
the easy part is the actual part where you unbolt the old one and bolt in
the new one. Then difficulties lie in the removal of the oil pan. That in
itself is not hard especially if you have air tools (zip-zip) you can fly
through most of the bolts. There are bout 3 bolts that are rather hard to
get out, and even harder to get back in. They sit right up against the
tranny and there's really not much room for a socket to get in there.
(bad angle too.) You can back off the bolts from the engine/tranny and
get some slack in there to help out if your running into problems. I
highly recommend that. You really don't want to cross thread those bolts
to the oil pan!

Sorry, cant help out with price. That's not my department! I recall
having a discussion with the Potterman about which pump is the pump to
have but ive forgotten what the end result was. Maybe he can jump in and
offer up a pump number and price for you?
