Lights and volt meter.

     I don't know if the headlights on newers cars are just brighter or if my 
lights are dimmer than normal.  I know they're not dirty, they're pretty much 
new.

     Another thing is my voltmeter shows 12V when the lights are on and rocks 
around 12V when the indicator is going.
     
     Someone told me that I should change the carbon brushes on my alternator.

Any ideas?
