Oh, ok then it must be the wheel....

That's what I did when I first got my GLi. I loosened the wheel bolts a
couple turns and drove it around the block. That didn't do it the first
time so I drove around again. This time I did like them Nascar boys do
when they're trying to get some temp in their tires. 
Left-right-left-right-left real quick on the steering broke the LR wheel
from the hub. it was on there tight! It was corroded pretty bad.
