Reminds me of a Jetta I used to have. The fuel pump relay got twitchy and
would only work if you squeezed the sides just right. My solution was to
wire in a toggle switch mounted in the gaping hole where the previous
owner's radio had been. Starting the car felt like starting an old-timey
airplane. That thing was mechanics school on wheels (sure you guys wouldn't
know nuthin bout that :) )
