Gotta put in my 2 cents. 

This was supposed to be a true story? If so, it is NOT a joke, which is very
unfortunate - if it was a joke a dog would not be dead. The Jeep I don't miss,
except it's now polluting a lake...

It might be out of place in this list, but as a commentary (and cautionary tale)
it is worthwhile to read it - I always am amazed at the stupidity possible
in the
erstwhile 'most intelligent animal on Earth'...
