Steering rack...

Ok I keep killing power steering racks for some odd reson. So I want to but
in a manual rack. Is this an easy swap ....has anyone done this to there
16v...?
  I think I need the rack the rods and the peice that atatches the rack to
the colum....did I miss anyting or what...?
