Old golf, I once changed the tranfer pump by unscrewing a "cap" where the
wires/hoses exit. The Scirocco dosent have the screw on thing?

hi,

scirocco's only had transfer pumps from late '84 and up. the older models
(with the full size spare and the smaller tank) only had the one main pump.

to get to the transfer pump, pop of your back seats and you should see it,
it is where the hoses and the wires are, there are 3-4? screws holding down
a silverish plate, just undo them and pull it all out. if you can't see it
maybe your model doesn't have one? maybe the wires are just for the fuel
level meter?

does your main pump make any noise? if you can't hear it at all, maybe it's
the culprit, or the relay?....
