Why do a half assed job??
OK, heres the deal. Its really not that hard of a job. There is no need to do
half of the things your talking about. The crankshaft wont move (rotate) on
you if you break the torque on the crankshaft bolt first, then remove the
timming belt. (That makes it much easier.)
You really dont need to drop the passenger side mount since the cranshaft is
pretty accessable as it is. You might want to drop it for the added access
anyways.
Then you simply remove the bolts from the oil pan and the crankshaft seal
housing. Its just like doing the real main seal. If you replaced the rear
main seal already, then you already know how to do it. Its a 30-45 min job so
dont sweat the small stuff. At least its not the rear main seal! Thats a
beich of a job. Use a putty knife to get under the seal so you dont break the
front main seal housing. Thats the only potential brittle part.

Stock pads brake easy. Thats an odd question there Jay..... :)

HTH!
