Right, they use this second system that the driver can change while out on the 
track. They dont use a second plug. Its a box with everything built into it 
and a single A-B switch on the dash. Both coils goto a single outl
et A-B type setup. I remember seeing one on a Track Fact years ago. (ESPN has 
excelent coverage!) 
Im sure by now they have it so compact that its much simplier than all this. I 
also know they keep the ignition systems inside the car and run the coil wire 
into the engine compartment. I know they got to be running a pretty hot spark 
since they run +14-1 compression! 
I've often wondered why they dont use a Magneto setup. Probably because its 
not allowed by the rules I would imagine.
