Airbox snorkel?

This is something I received regarding extra HP for corrado's. Check it out:

>The snorkel is inside a G60 or VR6 airbox and reduces the amount of
>airflow into the box - removing it improves airflow and with a K&N makes
>more power than the P-Flo. Now don't get me wrong, I did the P-Flo on my
>VR6's because the sound is to die for, but in actuality you do see more
>power from just a standard K&N element and removing the snorkel and
>drilling a few large holes into the airbox.
>
>I had a 16V Scirocco a few years ago, but only drilled the airbox - I
>can't remember if it had the snorkel, though I think it did.
>
>The snorkel is just a piece of plastic that snaps out. Take a peak and
>see if you have one.
>
>Will e-mail the guy about the 2.0L - will buy that one if you don't.
>
>-Robert

Does anyone know if we have this "snorkel?" If not, when I do the G60
engine swap this summer, will I need the G60 airbox as well? Then I could
do this...
