I think it can definately be bought at a better price.  I got my gear oil at
Rapid Parts (and they ain't cheap in the first place!) and it cost just over
$7.  You might as well buy VW gear oil for as much as BMS charges for
RedLine.  Sorry, I don't know of any local places to you but I figured you
should know how much you can get it for.
