     Call 1-800-444-VWUS with your VIN, it should be covered under a recall 
     campaign.  Mine went about 2 years ago.  Called VW, took it to a 
     dealership, waited for 2 weeks for the tank to come in from Germany, 
     problem solved.

Anyone ever have problems with a leaky gas tank?  It looks like 
my tank is leaking near the rear of the tank.  It looks like the 
whole axel and exhaust needs to come off to change it!!  
Anyone ever change the tank?  Is there any SAFE way to patch it 
instead of changing it?
