Making fun of my suspension? I'll kick your ass, buttgoblin!!! My second
rear bar is made of 1" square steel stock, bolted directly to the
axlebeam. It stiffens the car quite a bit. My car was not "twitchy" with
the 22/28 setup, although it did not like flagrant oversteer inducing
activities - now, I guess it might be considered twitchy, although I like
it - scary on the street, but that's not my concern. On the solo course,
it is very well behaved, but don't lift;). Rear roll stiffness is good.
IMHO, of course. Now, Kevin, why are you using race springs in the rear
and soft springs in the front? That does'nt make sense! Punk. OK, ttys,
if anyone wants a more detailed description on how to build the OPM style
rear bar, just let me know - it is easy. All it takes is a measuring
device, some way to cut steel bar, (I used a sawzall), a welder, a drill,
bolts, etc - cost was @$20 per bar (made 3 so far, but mine is the only
one currently in use). Anyhow, if anyone is dissatisfied with the amount
of rear roll stiffness a 28mm gives you, email me - there are a few ways
around it!
