I was hoping to avoid postig to this thread, but since you HAD to drag me
into this Shawn;), yes they do work good for autox. I managed not to fly
out of the car or into Shawns face, which given how hard we where going
around the corners, I thought was pretty good.

I always wear my belts, as much for the safety factor as for the fact it
keeps me in the seat. Although I don't do as much of it on the street
anymore, I used to have problems moving around in the seat when the car was
airborne, or doing real hard cornering. Even though I drive a bit more
sanely, I still prefer wearing the belt because I know that I wouldn't
always be able to brace for an accident, especially if I don't see it
coming, and sometimes bracing for an accident leaves broken arms and
ribs(something I've seen), as well as smashed heads and other fun stuff. I
can honestly say that I've never personally seen an instance where a
seatbelt caused a fatality, and since I don't drive a Pinto, I feel that
the safety and control benefits of the belt far outweigh some minimal
chance of not being able to get out of the car in case of a fire.

This is JMHO, and if you don't wear your belt fine, you don't have to try
to justify yourself to me, as a matter of fact I would prefer that you
didn't.

Brad
