Re: Blinking water led?

>Help? This morning my water light started blinking

First things first: You deserve to have problems with your car if you're
somewhere that it's 70 degrees this time of year.

I read my owner's manual a couple of weeks ago, and it addressed that light
in some detail. It says right in the book that the car tends to run with
the temperature guage pointing to alarmingly hot levels when in traffic and
stuff... but you're only supposed to freak out when the light blinks.
More importantly to your situation, it adds that the light will also blink
when the coolant level is low. If the light blinks when the coolant guage
is at normal temperature, then check your coolant level. If it's okay,
then just assume it's a bad sensor (So far as I remember, it's the one on
top of the coolant reservior, by the cap) ...but I'm no expert. Also,
remember, most of our cars are posessed to some extent. It could have just
been a one-time freaky thing.
