Re: W8 Musings

Don't forget the weirdest one of all. The "PRV V6", which was a 2.8-liter
V6 built jointly by Peugeot, Volvo, and Renault... used in the Peugeot 505,
the Volvo 960GLE (or something like that), and the Renault 25... as well as
in the Delorean. That's almost as bad as the Alfa 164, which was a Saab
9000, another useless (but potentially profit-bearing) bit of trivia.
	Then, of course, if you've ever wondered why the Isuzu Impulse looks so
much like a Scirocco... it's because VW contracted out Giuario to design
the car, and they changed their mind after they saw his design. They
modified the design slightly in-house (resulting in the Scirocco II), and G
sold his design to Isuzu. And, don't forget, he's also responsible for the
Delorean, which, incidentally, EVERYBODY tells me my Scirocco looks like.
	Everybody says the idea of a world car is dead, but it seems to me that
everything on the road is a "world car". Caddy Catera=Opel Omega. Ford
Mondeo=Ford Contour. Saab 9-3=Opel Vectra=The new Saturn. Toyota
Corolla=Chevy Prism.  etc etc etc..
			My 20 cents.
