No handels (was: what to do when battery goes south)

While were on the subject of going throught the trunk,
I have been toying with the idea of getting rid of the handels
all together, I saw a yellow MKII 8v in VW Trends that had this
and it was very slick.  Also, I saw an add in EC for AutoLock,
the are suppoesd to have kits for keyless entry starting at $25?
it may be cool.
