Sounds like you have never driven a turbo car? One way to "see" it, is to
experience it. Truly.

Not always. In the world of our stock A1's, 8.5-1 compression is about the highest
8V compression available and is well within the limits of a turbo upgrade. I've
seen turbos on cars up to 9.0-1 compression running 15 lbs boost with no problem.

Im not familiar with your guidelines but I could if I had the same motor with a
turbo. Catch and pass him, easily. Thats where the enthusiasm comes from. (Are we
still talking about a turbo here??)

What do you race in?? These are not the familiar SCCA classes im familiar with.
(Autox)
Fact of the matter is, you can get alot more HP from a turbo than you can with any
normally aspirated motor. The lack of use in your group is probably due to the use
not being practical for its application. If you've got 13-1 compression, you've
obviously got a well built "unstock racing only" motor. I recall this thread being
about stock production Scirocco's having a Turbo. Thats what im basing my reply on
and not innitiating a flame war.
TTYL!
