What year is it? As far as I know, Scirocco's dont have side markers. look
inside the fender to see if there is a wire going to it. if so, pull the
bulb and check it, see if its good, next see where the wire goes to. You
might want to yank both side markers and compare the two, get another
replacement to match and then wire it up to run when the lights are on. Good
idea, huh!!

I said something about not needing it. I have the JH engine (1.8L Solid
lifter) and if you get this motor, you wont need it either. I have even
bumped the compression to 9.2-1 and still dont need the knock sensor. If you
get the 10-1 comp engine (forget the eng code) you wont absolutley have to
get the knock sensing ignition, all you will have to do is retard the
timming a bit more than people like to. All that system does is senses a
knock condition and retards the timming for you. If you set it there at a
lower setting, you shouldnt have any problems. You wont have to run 92
octane fuel, you can run the mid grade fuel (89 octane)and be just fine. I
accidentally ran on 87 octane fuel (Yuck!) at an autox on a hot day and
didnt notice a difference in performance. Sure as hell didnt hear anything
knocking either!

Them's my anwsers, anwsers that are mine...........
