Nope, and Ive looked for one, believe me! Its a shapr looking piece of
equipment in the picture. If you go look at the New Dimensions web page and
look at some of the pictures of the Scirocco's on the track, partictularly
the one titled: "Modified Scirocco", it has the kit. (Also note the bitchen
Miata Blue Scirocco behind it, that's MY Scirocco fixin to pass his slo-go!)
I looked closely at it and was quiute dissapointed in the fit AND finish.
Its really ratty looking up close and you can see where he used caulking on
it to fill in the gaps.
He told me he got if from a girl who didnt know what it was and sold it to
him for $200 or so. The side pieces dont fit right and the wing itself just
looks cheaply made.
Im thinking about making (Producing) a rear wing for MK II Scirocco's that
would simulate the way the Honda's have the tall rear wing style but will
fully incorporate the Scirocco lines. It would use the stock mounting points
and be as tall as the top of the rear hatch. Looking at it from the rear, it
would also have the same lines as each side of the car fron the starting
point of the spoiler to the top of the spoiler, meaning there would be a
slight kink as it goes up.
I have some rough sketches of it in KEYCAD at work and will some day put it
in AUTOCAD so I can 3D render it better. (KEYCAD sucks!) I geuss I just need
some encouragement to get the project going. I showed Mike Potter at Timmons
VW the idea and he said there is just not a demand for Scirocco body pieces.
Well, I want one so therefore there is a demand! (Heh-heh) He never said
what he thought of the design, rough tho it may be.........
Thanks for letting me share!
