I love Bridgestone Blizzaks, have used them for 3 years now.
Fabulous tires both in snow and on ice. Bridgestone recommended
installing them on all 4 wheels when they came out. I though it was
a marketing scheme or something so I just bough two for the front.

Bridgestone was right. It's hard to describe but the car was very unstable
going into and out of turns. It's sort of like the front and rear tires were
squishing at very different rates and the two ends of the car were not
communicating. I bought two more for the rear and all was OK again.
Got three seasons out of them and they are now down to the end of the
specialo multicell compound and are just regular tires. I'm getting
4 more for this winter. By the way, I don't sell tires so this is unbiased
(excuse the pun).

As for swapping tires, a lot of swapping can cause wear on the bead of
the tire and subsequent poor sealing. Plus, good mounting and balancing is
expensive. So, taht's an argument for 2 sets of wheels.
