I cant find any code JN, either its a mistype or I just simply dont have it in my book. I do knoq that Fox motors were all 9.0-1 compression engines and they do use the smaller valves. I also think (Not sure 100%) they us
ed the 8-1 comp pistons with the head and stroke gave it the 9.0-1 compression. (Again, im not sure.)

Your motors stock stats are 81hp@5,500 and 93Ft.lbs.Tq.@3,250.

The 85 GTi came (eng code HT) with 100Hp and 107 Ft.lbs.Tq. and have 10-1 compression.

Scirocco's 81-84 had the 1.7L EN code motors with a pathetic 74 HP and 90 Ft.lbs.Tq. and have 8.2-1 compression.

85-87 Scirocco's have the 1.8L JH code motors with 90 hp and 100Ft.lbs.Tq. with 8.5-1 compression.

86-89 Scirocco's with the 16V had 123 HP and 120Ft.lbs.Tq. (Kinda funny seeing more HP than torque) with 10-1 compression.

Thats what my info states. How correct it is is debatable. I thought I
have seen some numbers on the 16V's that were less on some years but, I
dunno.
