RE: Huge oil leak...

All I was hoping was that if someone else had had something similar happen
or if someone had heard of a weakness in the system somewhere.  I do
appreciate the answers I get though, and I realize that my ignorance on the
mechanical end of things makes it difficult for you guys to help.

I had an oil leak once...................=)  that's similar eh?   Just kidding.  Anyway the 16v's all had oil coolers.  Actually all 1.8L engines had them after '83.  As to going to a class I recomend buying the Bently for your car and reading it.  I have read mine quite a bit and it had taught me a lot.  Once you've done that, if you want to learn more I would take a class but just reading the Bently and looking at the car to see everything it explains helps an awful lot.  It's really nice knowing where every part of the car is.  It hardly takes up any extra time.  Good luck,
