Got some old magazines!

Hi all, I recently went to "Car Books" in Denver - a bookstore which sells
car literature. I got some interesting magazines - 3 old VW & Porsche, and
2 Road & Tracks. The VW&P are April 83, August 84, and June 86, the R&T
March 82 & Oct 83. Interesting titles are as follows:

VW&P (now european car)

April 83
some reviews of earlier w/c VWs, lotsa good ads for aftermarket stuff,
Drake's 121hp 1.6...

Aug 84
First Look - 84 1/2 Wolfsburg Edition VWs (Tim:)???)
Project GTI's 130hp killer motor (a 1.6!!!)
Shootout - GLI vs 318i
some Audi stuff, all the ads......

June 86
VW GTI and Scirocco Supercharger kits - Autotechs charger looked COOL!
Build a 140hp Turbo with factory parts
Bushings (performance)
Some other cool stuff.......

R&T

March 82
Practically Fun - a shootout w/the Datsun 200sx, Charger 2.2, Accord LX,
Celica, Scirocco
specs list, some VW ads.....

Oct 83
Comparison - Prelude vs Scirocco vs Celica
New Rabbit article
The charts with 0-60, hp, skidpad........

If you have any interest in the above articles, let me know, I'll post a
summary. Also, if you have oldish VW w/c performance parts, and want to
know a bit more about them, there might be an ad in here. I am getting a
Weber t/b soon, called the Big Throat, which seemed to be all the rage -
there are some good dyno charts comparing headers/cams/tbs, etc. I found
them to be pretty interesting, maybe someone else here will find the same.
Anyway, if you want some info, let me know, I'll post to the list so I
don't have to do it a bazillion times! I find it interesting to see what
they were doing 10 years ago, some is the same, some is different.....I
wonder why the Autotech supercharger went away! It looks clean, replaces
the stock intake, seems pretty simple to install. Anyway! TTYS........

Mannix (and they were only $2 each.......I'll keep looking for more:)
