Right, I suppose I'd better clarify some of this. First of all, SEAT
is indeed part of VW, but is distinctly different in that they
produce cars for, well let's say the "Bright Young Thing" generation.
They are marketed all over Europe, but obviously not in US.

Anyway, second point the Ibiza is indeed (vaguely) based on the VW
Polo, but actually predates it by a good few months, secondly the
Toledo is more of a Golf (Sorry, Rabbit) base.

Watch that A3. It's the base for the new Golf (sorry, at it again,
Rabbit) and Jetta (or Vento) models. It's being pretty raved about
over here (UK) as a fantastic car, and just what VAG need to get
themselves back on top.

Nearly right, again. The Octavia is actually based on the A4
platform, which is also the new Passat (I think the US has a
different name again, is it the Dasher, or something like that). The
Jetta (or Vento, good this init!) is, as I said earlier, based on the
A3 Golf (Rabbit), and will be then based on the new A3. Have I lost
anybody yet (apart from myself!)

Anyway, anything to be of service.

Take care on the roads.
