[OT] where were you 9/11?

We were in the middle of a remodeling project.  Usually we had a radio 
going on the job site, that day we didn't for some reason (I don't think 
all the subcontractors could agree on the station, so we canned it).  I 
got a phone call from my mom (which scared me, she almost NEVER called 
in the middle of the day).  She was panicked, calling to make sure I was 
okay, she told me we were being bombed in NY.  She gave me some basic 
information over the phone, and went to call other friends and family.  
One of our plumbers came to the basement, he had left to get materials 
and had the radio on in his truck, and told everyone what happened. 

I got home, and watched news all night, I don't think I went to bed 
before 2 or 3am.
