List dead? NOW: DD's

Would everybody please stop PICKING ON ME!??!

Just kidding :-D

The thing is, my Subaru usually is dirty, with fast food wrappers on the
carpet and all that stuff. I'm not a total neurotic. I just prefer to keep
the Scirocco really clean and as nice as I can. *That's one of the ways in
which I derive enjoyment from owning this car.* I haven't even come close
to getting it spiffed up to the level that I have planned, mostly due to
lack of time. I just try to keep it clean and work on getting it a little
cleaner every time. It isn't nearly as nice as a lot of other cars out
there. I can't stress that enough. But it's mine.

It's such a PIA to try to clean it after a long drive; road goop seems to
get everywhere.

My rule is simple: if there's no rain in the forecast, I'll drive it. That
never seems to be the case during the first weekend in June, though.

It hurts like hell to park on the Kia side, to see the Sciroccos rolling in
and out of Daun's parents' place and the hotel. That I can tell you.

I understand the feeling too, and bottom line is that once the ownership's
in your name, what you do with it is up to you. I'd hate us to make Jim feel
badgered into driving that pretty car of his and then have something happen
on the way to Cincy. And the drive's no fun if you're worrying about the car
getting chipped or worse. I know well enough about not enjoying Cincy
because you're worrying too much about your car, I'm the migraine queen.
We're so funny eh? We bug Jim about not driving his enough, and Getty about
driving too much (and the resultant wear). Cars for sale are always
overpriced, but if we're selling, the offers are all insulting. We're just
never happy...okay, I am once in a while, usually when I'm moving, butt
firmly planted in an "S" seat...:)
