  Mostly, everything worked.
  At 140 kph, the car roared like a tank, and after investigation, I had the 
engine mounts replaced (first time in 24 years!).  That impressed its little 
Jetta sister so much, the Jetta also decided it needed new engine mounts. 
Sigh, its not even a teenager yet ...
  Then I found a puddle of coolant underneath, coing out of a restaurant. 
New radiator.
  Lastly, 1st gear was failing to engage. I suspect either low oil or 
misalignment after the new mounts. That will be attented to when I store it 
at the end of the month. That late storage is a first, because the weather 
has been so mild I decided to save on storage fees,
  But right now, I am in Dallas, driving some nondescript GM car. 2 more 
nights and I will be back to my Scirocco :-)
