venting (smashed taillight)

Crap, Greg!  That blows.  There must be something in the air.  I *just*
received a set of 8V taillights yesterday and installed them at lunch
today.  I almost sent you an email since it was your clean tails that
convinced me to switch to 8Vs.

Perhaps your friend will be happy to reimburse you for a replacement
lens?

I would offer you my set, but to tell the truth, there is a little chip
in the corner of the amber on the d/s.  The way I figure it, I'm never
going to find a MINT set without a lot of work, and chances are some ass
is going to eventually chip, break or otherwise render them no longer
perfect, so I'm only looking for CLEAN sets.  $40 shipped was also
reasonable.  

I can help search for a set, or at least a nice d/s one.

A friend of mine came over for dinner.
While backing out of my driveway, the backed *into* my car, which was
parked
on the grass at the edge of the street.
No real damage, save for a scratched up bumper.. *sigh*

and a slightly smashed tail light.

I'm exceptionally irritated, they *were*mint*

Now the amber section is all cracked and f'd up.

Just venting for now, we will see what they look like in the daytime.
