Cincy Camping

Karl,

Very well put about the payment and sentiments! It will be a shame you wont make it. I am sorry for that and since I know people mean to pay I am sending this reply to those who just need to say something before they have to sleep in their cars in some parkinglot.....Uhh that would really suck!

  Thanks,
  Tony

  Heya Happy Campers,
I get to sound off on this 'cuz 1) I already paid, sent the check a week
ago, 2) I rounded up hard and overpaid, figuring I'd help out/ tip the guy
doing the work of organizing this, and 3) am not going to be able to make
Cincy after all, so I asked Rhett to deposit my check anyway and call it a
donation to the Cincy Campfire Beer Fund...
So y'all are going to be drinking beer on MY dime... and you're welcome.
I am sorry I won't be there... next year fo' sho'.
I know we're all busy working on the cars, cleaning and packing and all
that for a roadtrip (or in my case, dragging car across town prior to
pulling drivetrain). Look; while your oil is draining take the 5 minutes and
go write out a check and envelope to Rhett (postage is now 41 cents...), or
at least send an e-mail as he has requested confirming your plans to be at
Cincy, camp, AND YOU WILL PAY HIM THERE.
Simple frickin' courtesy.
You're liucky it's Rhett and not me doing this... he's still being quite
polite, considering there's money out of his pocket for your benefit.
If it was me, all people who've paid would be directed to the "nice"
campsites on arrival. The rest of youse would be shown to the cow pasture,
"Watch your step...".
"You get what you pay for" is an old and true proverb, less known (but
an obvious collolary) is "You don't get what you don't pay for...".
Pay up or contact Rhett with your thanks and promise to pay on arrival.
Or take your chances...

Karl
