By "plate" do you mean the fuel distributor?
She needs a fuel distributor body with its pin. The pin by itself won't do any good.

I'm pretty sure the CIS-lambda and CIS-E fuel distributors are different to accommodate the different O2 feedback mechanisms.

Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems sort of silly to take the chance and send Lexan on a wild goose chase.
My understanding is she likes slow snuggly cats and not wild geese. ;^)
