MkI coolant temp guage with 2 prong ABA sensor

I am using the stock one wire sensor on my ABA,I built an adaptor that the
sender screwed into with a seperate gound wire to the adaptor base.It is
mounted in the coolant steam at the hose cluster fitting at the rear of the
head/Block? I don't remember which .It's the one that the small coolant
hoses go to.My works really well.
I can't answer any of the techie questions.
