For Sale: '86 Scirocco

The almost rustfree '86 Scirocco is no longer for sale.

I'm going to eventually fix the clutch problem; a cracked internal clutch
lever, thrust plate could have a hole in it, a stuck release bearing, or a
bad clutch.

This is after I first tried to blow it to the list for $300, and then trying
to sell it for what I thought it was worth, $500.

Thanks...

It looks like the '86 Scirocco needs a clutch, and it has a recent clutch
cable on it.
I put a bottle jack on the clutch lever, just to see if the pedal cluster
was causing the clutch not to work.
It would not go into gear with the car running, and the clutch lever up. So
unless the internal clutch lever is cracked, it will need a clutch. If it's
just a cracked lever, I'll fix it, and probably keep it, but I'm not up to
doing a clutch on it. It might just be that little lever, or the thrust
plate, since the clutch didn't start slipping, it just failed all of a
sudden.

'86 Scirocco, 1.8L JH, 5 spd, 9A?, A/C, 90A, sunroof, gray, w/gray cloth
interior in decent shape, good windshield.
Solid car, very little rust. Starts right up...

Damage; sunroof seal-it doesn't leak, but the outer gasket is shot, small
ding on rocker, and a small dent on the right rear. I noticed that an inner
CV boot is ripped...

It has steel wheels w/stud conversion, so it has lug nuts, instead of lug
bolts.

I'll throw in a set of stock '85 Scirocco 5 spoke, (Kamei twist looking
wheels), I currently have for sale for $100, and if I sell those, I have
plenty of Mk.1 Scirocco wheels. Same price with, or without the wheels,
since I'm just trying to clear out my place. I must have close to a hundred
extra wheels...

Location: Bear, DE 19701-2107

I can deliver it within 100 miles...

$500.
